The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley- Book Review

Tracie’s Version

Jess decides she needs to get away from her current situation. She decides to go crash with her brother, Ben, in Paris. Only when she shows up to his apartment, Ben isn’t there. Something just isn’t right, he was expecting her.. and why is he not returning any of her calls.

The longer that he’s missing, the more strange things occur. She begins to question his suspicious neighbors which is an interesting bunch. Everyone is a suspect, everyone has a secret, everyone is watching everyone.

Jess came to Paris to escape her past, but finds that Ben’s present is much scarier.

Okay so, I really loved Foley’s novel “The Guest List” but I had a really hard time with this one. I don’t know if it was because I listened on Audible but it was a little too much for me.

Too many characters, too many flash backs, there was just too much going on which left me confused and frankly bored.

I like Foley’s writing style and think this storyline had a lot of potential but it just wasn’t it for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5.
