If you’re looking for a story that packs a lot depth in a super short number of pages, then this is the book for you! This book had me humming to the tune of Illicit Affairs by Taylor Swift the whole time I was reading; TJR should consider renaming it “Evidence of the Illicit Affairs” 😂
Okay, but really, this book was interesting because it was written solely in the form of letters being passed back and forth between Carrie and David, the two spouses who are being cheated on. It felt really personal and like i was getting a peak into someone’s diary, which my nosey-self loved 😌
The book starts with a letter from Carrie to David informing him of the heartbreaking news that his wife is cheating on him with her husband, Ken. Carrie found all the letters that “the other woman” had been writing to her husband and she wanted the copies of her husbands letters to his mistress.
What is normally a lonely and depressing feeling to find out your partner had an affair, turned into a little pocket of brightness for Carrie and David. Their relationship started as strangers, turned into confidants, and then friends.
While this book was not very long it still felt complete. However, I wouldn’t mind a sequel based on what is revealed at the end!
