I was recently in the mood for a fun (maybe a little corny) rom-com, so I asked our IG followers for some recommendations. I landed on The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun and it surely didn’t disappoint!
The book was so beautiful in many ways. Cochrun does a wonderful job writing about mental health as well as relationships in the LGBTQ community. I was a big fan of one of the main characters, Dev, from the very first page. I won’t lie, it took me a minute to like Charlie – I just couldn’t understand how this man landed himself as the lead on a dating show when he knew how anxious all of it made him. But by the end, I wanted nothing more than for them to live their best lives, in love.
The reality show in this book is verrrrry similar to ABC’s ‘The Bachelor’ which I’m a huge fan of! That alone made this such a fun book to read. If you’re a fan of The Bachelor, i would highly recommend you pick this book up!
