THIS WAS EVERYTHING OF THE SORT.

I’ve seen this book on other reader’s “Favorite Books of 2021” AND “Least Favorite Books of 2021” People either love this book or they hate it and I’m happy to say I LOVED IT! ❤️‍🔥🤘🏼🎸

Dare I say I liked it even more than The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo?! 😌🤔

This book is written “interview style” which may not be some peoples cup of tea, and even I was unsure about it at first. But it works so well for this type of book. You really get to see how all the characters recall different events from memory – obviously not all of them recall things the same!

Taylor Jenkins Reid takes you right to the 1960’s and 70’s in this beautiful novel following a famous Rock ‘N Roll band, Daisy Jones and The Six. I literally felt like I was a little fly on the wall of their Sunset Strip recording studio.

The band had many ups and downs throughout their career, but they seemed to always work through it (…or ignore it and pretend nothing was wrong 😂). What could cause a band at the height of their popularity to break up on tour? This I needed to know!

One thing I wish she would have highlighted more was Daisy’s positive feelings toward Billy. It wasn’t until I was much farther into the book that I realized how much she was pushing him away BECAUSE she was in love with him.

All of the characters in the band play such an important part of this book. TJR does a great job making these characters come to life. I especially liked Warren’s role – the comedic relief 🤪

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend – but I can definitely see how some people wouldn’t enjoy the writing style of this book!
